What is the giantess fantasy?
The giantess fantasy is an erotic or romantic interest in a woman imagined as far larger than her partner, from a head taller to the height of a building. Because it cannot be acted out in real life, it lives in stories, art and roleplay, and the wider interest in giants is known as macrophilia.

01
Where the term comes from
A giantess is simply a female giant, a figure found in myths and folk tales of many cultures and in classic adventure stories about travelers among very large people. The erotic use of the word is more recent, and it is not known who first used it that way.
Macrophilia is built from Greek words for large and for love. It is the term used for an attraction to giants in general, and the giantess is by far its most common form. Online, the fantasy is often shortened to GTS, and people also speak of size fantasy or size difference.
02
What it looks like
The size varies from one telling to the next. In some she is unusually tall and strong and the partner has to look up. In others she fills a room, and a hand is big enough to sit in. At the far end she stands over a city and people are specks. A mirror version is the shrinking fantasy, in which she stays the same and the partner becomes small.
Her character varies too. The gentle giantess is curious, protective and careful with someone so small. The stern or teasing giantess is amused by her advantage and enjoys pointing it out. Most people have a clear preference for one or the other.
Since no one can grow to that size, the fantasy is carried by imagination. Stories are the main form, along with drawings, edited images, animation and roleplay. Point of view matters a great deal: much of the effect comes from describing what the world looks like from far below.
03
Why people like it
People who enjoy it often name awe first. Standing before something vast and beautiful is a strong feeling, and here the vast thing is a woman who notices you. Being the single focus of someone that powerful is a large part of the appeal.
Many also describe a welcome loss of control. When the difference in size is absolute, there is nothing to prove and nothing to decide. For some that feels safe and sheltering, like being held. For others the thrill is a pleasant kind of fear. These are common accounts, and no single explanation fits everyone.
04
What it is not
It is not about age. The small partner in the fantasy is an adult at a different scale, and smallness here means size, never youth. It is also not the same as liking tall women, although the two can overlap. A preference for height is about real people. The giantess is a figure of fiction.
It is not a wish for real harm. Some stories include danger or destruction, in the way a monster film does, and stay entirely within fiction. Many fans want none of that and keep to the gentle side. Nor does it say that a person wants to be powerless in daily life.
05
How to talk about it
This is an interest people often keep to themselves, because it sounds strange when stated baldly. It helps to describe the feeling instead of the label: I like the idea of you being overwhelmingly bigger and stronger than me, and of having all your attention.
From there the details are easy to sort out. How big? Gentle or teasing? Does the partner shrink, or does she grow? Told as a story, played out in words, or only hinted at in the way she speaks? A partner does not need to share the fantasy to enjoy playing someone tall, calm and completely in charge.
06
Limits, safewords and consent
The main question is tone. A scene with a protective giantess and a scene with a threatening one are far apart, and a person who loves the first may find the second upsetting. Say in advance whether fear is wanted at all, and which themes stay out, such as being trapped, handled roughly or put in danger.
Teasing about being small can slide into humiliation, which needs its own agreement. As in any roleplay, a safeword lets either person step out at once, and a short talk afterwards brings both back to their ordinary size.

Aftercare
A scene about being tiny and overwhelmed can leave a person feeling small for a while after it ends, above all when the giantess was stern. The remedy is simple: a return to eye level. Sitting together as equals, a few warm words and a question about which moments worked are usually enough. It is also the time to say whether the tone was right or should be gentler next time.

How it works in chat or with an AI companion
Text suits this fantasy better than almost any other medium, because words have no trouble with scale. A written scene can move from the view at ankle height to the view from her shoulder in a sentence.
On Rendezvoir, adults book an AI companion for a fixed time and pay once, with no subscription. You choose a level and can lower it at any time, and the safeword is one tap away and stops the scene at once. Every companion is an AI, a fictional adult character. Vesna is the companion for the giantess fantasy: towering, composed and amused by how small you are. Her sessions are told mostly in words, and she goes only as far as the Sensual level.
Questions about Giantess
- What is macrophilia?
- Macrophilia is the term for an attraction to giants, formed from Greek words for large and for love. Its most common form is the giantess fantasy, in which a woman is imagined as far larger than her partner. It exists in stories, art and roleplay.
- What does GTS mean?
- GTS is an online abbreviation for giantess. It is used as a tag for stories, drawings and roleplay about a woman who is far larger than the people around her, and as a short name for the fantasy as a whole.
- Is the giantess fantasy the same as liking tall women?
- No, though the two can overlap. A liking for tall women concerns real people and real height. The giantess is a figure of fiction whose size is impossible, and the appeal lies in a difference of scale that no real couple could have.
- What is the difference between a gentle and a cruel giantess?
- A gentle giantess is protective, curious and careful with her small partner. A cruel or stern one enjoys her advantage and teases or intimidates. Fans usually prefer one clearly, so anyone sharing the fantasy should say which they mean.
- What is a shrinking fantasy?
- It is the mirror image of the giantess fantasy. The woman keeps her normal size and her partner becomes small, a few inches tall or less. The difference in scale is the same, and many people enjoy both versions.
- How can you act out a giantess fantasy?
- Only in imagination, which is why it lives in words and pictures. Couples tell it as a story or play it as a roleplay in which one speaks as the giantess. Describing the view from below does most of the work.

Guide
Femdom ideas and tasks for a first scene
Femdom ideas for a first scene are small acts of leading: she chooses, he asks permission, and one or two rules hold for the evening. Good first tasks are easy to check and easy to do well, such as a message at a set time or a room prepared exactly as told. Agree on limits and a safeword first.

Sexual fantasies: the common ones and what they tell you
A sexual fantasy is an imagined scene that arouses you, and nearly every adult has them. The common themes are few: novelty, more than one partner, power given or taken, being intensely wanted, and romance. A fantasy tells you what a feeling looks like in your imagination. It is not a plan, a prediction or a verdict on your character.
